A. to determine the purpose

  1. In one sentence; what would you like to to accomplish in this conversation
  2. What is the purpose of our conversation?
  3. Would you please specify what you want to achieve?
  4. What do you want to get done?
  5. By what deadline do you want to have achieved this?

B. TO SEE WHAT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED

  1. What have you done so far and what results have you achieved?
  2. How do you do it now and for what reason do you do it this way?
  3. What’s going on?
  4. What are your obstacles now?
  5. Are you satisfied with the current situation?

C. TO EXPLORE THE POSSIBILITIES

  1. What options do you have? And what are their advantages and disadvantages
  2. What happens if you don’t change anything now?
  3. If you now have “carte blanche,” what do you do?
  4. What does the situation ideally look like?
  5. What stops you from doing it differently?

D. TO ACHIEVE RESULTS

  1. What will you do and who will you involve?
  2. When are you going to do that, and is that how you meet your goal?
  3. What “bears are on the road”? How do you deal with them?
  4. What support do you need with it, what do you expect from me?
  5. On a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to do it?

E. TO STAY ON TOP OF THINGS

  1. What arrangements should we make?
  2. Is it wise to make a follow-up appointment?
  3. How will you measure the success of your action?
  4. Do you want to make an action-plan?
  5. In what way and when will you inform me?
